Amazon European Long Term Storage Fees – 15th August 2016
Amazon’s next Long-Term Storage Fee assessment is scheduled to take place on 15th August 2016. On that day, units that have been in an Amazon fulfillment centre in Europe for 12 months or more will be assessed a Long-Term Storage Fee. You can submit a removal order to dispose of this inventory or have it returned to you. You are responsible for paying appropriate fees for the return or disposal of these units.
If you are using the automatic-removals option in your seller account, impacted inventory will be processed prior to any Long-Term Storage Fee charges being added to your account. Removal fees may apply.
You can view inventory that is at risk of being charged the Long-Term Storage Fee in the Recommended Removal report in Seller Central.
See the FBA Long-Term Storage help page for additional information on Long-Term Storage Fees.
Save on removal Fees
Amazon will reimburse your return and disposal fees for domestic removal orders of U.K. inventory generated between 14 July 2016 and 15 August 2016. So now is the time to ship your slow moving items out without incurring any costs.
Some important points:
- Cross-border removals are not part of this promotion. Removal fees will still apply, for example, for inventory that you remove from a fulfillment centre in Germany.
- Removals will be processed and fees will be charged as usual but you will receive the reimbursement associated with this promotion by mid-September.
- Note: Additional units of ASINs removed as part of this promotion cannot be sent to U.K. fulfillment centres until 1st January 2017, unless your inventory level falls below the number of units you have sold of this ASIN in the previous four weeks.
